Postiz and Blotato are both bought by people who want software, or their own AI agent, to handle publishing. Postiz is a scheduler with a built-in AI agent and an open-source edition; Blotato is an AI content engine with a credit pool for images and video. Here are their facts side by side, which one fits most readers, and what the third option does differently.
Postiz is the better pick for most people comparing these two. Postiz starts at $29 a month per workspace and Blotato at $29 a month, but Postiz also prints a yearly price ($23 a month on the entry plan), publishes to 30 networks, works with outside AI agents through MCP and a command line, and can run on your own server.
Blotato wins when you want the tool to make the media: faceless and AI-avatar videos with voiceover from one credit pool, plus automations that reply to comments and direct messages.

Quetzal is the agent, with none for you to build: it reads your brand and website, plans the week, writes and designs the posts, makes AI reels from Pro, publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube after your approval, and changes the next plan from each post's results. It covers far fewer networks than Postiz, so if Reddit, Discord or Mastodon matter to you, Postiz stays the better fit.
Quetzal (quetzaltech.app) is an AI social media manager. It reads your website and brand, plans the week, writes and designs every post, makes AI reels from the Pro plan, and publishes to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube. You can approve each piece before it goes out, or let it run on full autopilot.
